Testimonials

"Leah has been employed at The Larder on Goosegate since December 2018 as waitstaff, but immediately proved herself to be an extremely positive asset to the business and was quickly promoted to Assistant Manager. Leah is a self-motivated and highly competent individual who conducts herself with professionalism and a positive attitude at all times. She is polite, punctual and very reliable. Her attention to detail is above any I’ve encountered in my 14 years of working in hospitality. One of her most commendable assets is her organisational skills. She continually showed initiative and has implemented many new operational procedures which made the business work more efficiently, including many things that I would never have thought of myself. I was regularly able to trust Leah to run the business smoothly in my absence as if it were her own restaurant, and to the degree that I felt comfortable turning work emails off while I took much needed holiday. Her presence is a very welcome energy in the restaurant, and she always made our customers feel relaxed with ease, even during our busiest times. Leah has superb communication skills which she demonstrated by building a rapport with customers and by delegating tasks and training staff. Based on her work with us, she is beyond doubt one of the most talented people I have ever been fortunate to employ and I wish her all the best in her future endeavours. Any prospective employer would be lucky to have her and I wouldn’t hesitate in rehiring Leah in the future."

Rachel Rhodes, Manager at The Larder on Goosegate

"Choosing to follow your head or your heart is a challenge removed with Leah on your team. Driven by her social awareness, her sustained and efficient work ethic results in consistently high quality outcomes. Leah’s warmth and kindness insights confidence to those around her, bringing a valuable sense of optimism to any project."

Emily McKenna, University Colleague

"Leah has been great with everything I’ve asked of her from start to finish! With my logo I had an idea of what I wanted along with the colours and Leah just ran with it and created a logo, I couldn’t even imagine any better. When I’ve needed outlines for stamps and other items further down the line she’s been quick & really responsive! Then again, a few weeks ago, I wanted to create a pattern that could be used for an upcoming project and again, Leah just ran with the ideas and totally brought them to life for me! I’d recommend her to anyone!"

Lucy Hardwick, Freelance Client

"I’ve worked with Leah on various projects covering a range of roles and creative outputs including publishing, illustration and merchandising. In that time, I witnessed Leah’s genuine care for others which allowed strong team dynamics and exquisite end-products. Although working in a team was an absolute delight, I also felt confident going into each job that Leah’s individual tasks would be completed to the highest standard. I especially remember completing a trend forecasting prediction where our client was astounded with the breadth and depth of our research and expertise, as well as the overall polish of our presentation skills. I will miss Leah’s positivity as deadlines approach, our random conversations, and her ability to always bring kindness to every project we worked on. If you’re considering working with Leah, I would unquestionably recommend her to anyone, she is one of the most incredible creatives I have ever met.
